The pumping-station is getting a striking place on the triangular plot in the Dutch agricultural landscape. The design phenomenally reveals the function of the building. The station is get a meaning of urban context and is connected with the surroundings.

The architectural appearance is a simple horizontal volume with two round steal chimneys. By placing the two transparent façades of the building in line with the bending cycle track, the long axis of sight is elongated.

Through this glazed façades interested visitors can discover the pumping engines which are located in the cellar. The glazen plinth of the elongated façade enlightens the machinery and gives the building a floating character. The concept links ‘simplicity and ratio’ with ‘integration and meaning.’
