This project offers children safety and security in their own group while simultaneously challenging them to explore their world.

1 (1)

In a spatial network they are guided step by step in finding their own way. Between the compact group rooms for kindergarten and after school care is an elongated “field” of activities and possibilities, both indoors and outdoors.

4

By cleverly folding and bending this field a spatial sequence of floors is created, connected by ramps and stairs, trajectories, sight lines and changing perspectives.

3

Nine ‘pebbles’, clearly recognizable by shape, color and material, are scattered across the field and provide orientation.
